Manfred Fritz Bajorat body, a German citizen, was discovered in February of fishermen and authorities identified him using documents found on board, reports The Independent.
Initially, it was thought to have died several months, according to his intimates, no longer had spoken with him in the meantime.
After the death of his wife, Manfred sail alone. The last time they received a sign of life from him for more than a year ago, when a friend sent a congratulatory message on Facebook. Since then, nothing !!!
Manfred Fritz's body, aged 59, was found by two fishermen. Before dying, the German has written a letter to his wife, Claudia, who died of cancer in 2010 at the age of 53 years.
The epistle was written: "For thirty years we were together in the same way. Then the power of demons was stronger than the will to live. You left. May your soul find peace. Yours, Manfred".
Bajorat body was found by Christopher Rivas, a young person fishing with a friend of his. They were about 65 km from the Philippine coast when they saw the yacht. They had no courage to come on board. In a few hours, those from "Clipper Race" did it. A video spot can be seen as a seaman reaches wreck, get on it asks if anyone on board, then turn his head ... and no responding. He had found the mummified German, perfectly preserved due to salinity. They assumed that he had suffered a heart attack.
The mast was damaged, and the mummified body of the victim was leaning on the table in the main cabin.
The boat, about 12 meters long, have existed for over 20 years. For now, it is unknown what would be killed, because on the surface of his body was not identified traces of violence.
Further research showed that the time of its discovery, Manfred had been dead for only a week. Dry ocean winds, warm temperatures, and salt air were the reasons for which the body was so well preserved. Police are trying to reconstruct the last trips of the German to find people who have interacted with him.
His body was subjected to autopsy, and the yacht was towed to be studied in detail. "Doctors believe that the man died of natural causes because there is no trace of violence on his body," said the police Barobo, Philippines.
Mark Benecke, a coroner in the German city of Cologne, said: "The way the body was positioned seems to indicate that the death was unexpected, being caused, most likely, following a heart attack."
Manfred has crisscrossed the world's oceans for 20 years, with over half a million nautical miles.
HAVE A NICE DAY !!!!
